Habitat for Humanity PBC
Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County partners with families in need of affordable housing, while building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Each Habitat partner family is required to invest a minimum of 400 sweat equity hours of their own labor into the construction of Habitat homes, in addition to attending homeowner classes, in order to become eligible for a 30- year, interest-free mortgage.
This year marks a special milestone for Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County, as they celebrate 30 years of serving our community. During that time they have built or rehabilitated over 200 homes in partnership with families like Chas and Lorell Williams, who recently celebrated the Dedication of their home. When asked about becoming homeowners, they said “Our children will finally know what it feels like to have their own room, have the proper space for their toys, and have a backyard where they can play freely.”
Habitat for Humanity is primarily a volunteer organization. They cover a geographical area from Hypoluxo Road to the Martin County Line; building homes in Lake Worth, Greenacres, Jupiter, Pahokee, Belle Glade, Riviera Beach, Westgate, and West Palm Beach.
AEC Trendsetters is proud to support this organization and we hope to continue the Habitat for Humanity Design Challenge for many years to come.
